THE CCCB WELCOMES THE ADVANCE OF THE ANIMAC 2026 PROGRAMMING

On Wednesday night, the Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) hosted the presentation in Barcelona of the 30th edition of Animac, which will be held in Lleida from February 19 to 22. The director of Animac, Carolina López, presented the main lines of this edition, which commemorates the thirty years of the Mostra’s history under the motto Things Change. The session included the participation of the director, illustrator and comic book author Alberto Vázquez. After the presentation, the feature film “Decorado” (2025) was screened, and immediately afterwards a conversation took place between Alberto Vázquez and Carolina López about contemporary animation. The presentation at the CCCB is part of the previous activities of Animac in Barcelona. The official press conference to present Animac 2026 took place on Tuesday in Lleida. The exhibition has the support of CaixaForum Lleida, the Lleida Arts Foundation, the Ministry of Culture (ICAA), the Lleida Provincial Council (IEI) and the ICEC of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
