ANIMAC 2023 IS PRESENTED IN BARCELONA WITH RAFILLO AND HIS “CONCHIRENCIA”, ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCES OF THE PAST EDITION

This year, under the motto LatAm boom! Animac celebrates the creativity of Latin American animation.

Next February 15, Animac, the International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia organized by the City Council of Lleida, will present the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), the novelties and contents of this 27th edition, which will be held in Lleida from February 23 to 26 (and from 3 to March 12 in online format). This year, under the motto LatAm boom! Animac celebrates the creativity of Latin American animation.

The event will host one of the most successful conferences of the past Animac, the “Conchirencia”, by the animator from Almería Rafel Esteban Trujillo “Rafillo”, creator of Cheerida Conchi , a bizarre comedy web series that follows the life of an elderly couple. Rafillo has managed to make a place on the networks thanks to pieces of overflowing originality where references to characters and films are mixed with humor in the pure meme culture style. He will share with us what his way of working is, the impossible metamorphoses and the creativity of this series and other animations that have attracted the attention of television channels such as Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) and Fox.

The director of the festival, Carolina López, presents the contents of the 27th edition of Animac.

19.30 pm | “Conchirencia” with Rafillo

The creator will talk about Querida Conchi, the most transgressive adult web series of the moment.

20.30 pm | Youtuber drifts

What do artists see and hear to fuel their creativity? Rafillo and the cartoonist Roberta Vázquez challenge any artificial intelligence with tons of information in a dialogue with images, in which anything is possible.

Tomorrow, presentation in Lleida

On the other hand, we remind you that tomorrow, Tuesday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. is presented in Lleida the 27th edition of Animac. The press conference will take place in the Alfred Perenya Room of the Department of Culture, City and Ecological Transition of Lleida City Council and will have the participation of the mayor, Miquel Pueyo; the vice-president of the IEI, Estefania Rufach; the councilor for Culture, City and Ecological Transition, Jaume Rutllant, and the director of Animac, Carolina López. In the presentation at the press conference, the most outstanding programming of this edition of Animac will be announced.
