ANIMAC OPENS REGISTRATION FOR THE SCHOOL SESSIONS OF ITS 31ST EDITION

The 31st edition of Animac – International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia already has confirmed dates and is once again betting on school sessions as one of its featured activities to bring animated films closer to educational centers.

The Exhibition will be held in Lleida from February 25 to 28, 2027, but the screenings aimed at schools will begin previously, from Monday February 22 to Friday, February 26, in room 1 of the Teatro de La Llotja.

As every year, the sessions are designed for children and young people to discover animation from an educational and creative perspective, with programming adapted to each educational stage.

 

Registration open until June 16

The educational centers of Lleida and its demarcation will be able to formalize their registration from May 13 to June 16, 2026. Places are limited and will be assigned in order of registration.

 

Session calendar

Early Childhood Education and Initial Cycle (SE1)

From Monday, February 22 to Friday, February 26
From 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Middle Cycle and Higher Cycle (SE2)

From Monday, February 22 to Thursday, February 25
From 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Secondary Education (SE3)

From Monday, February 22 to Wednesday, February 24
From 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Future Talent (FT)
Aimed at high school, higher education training cycles and university studies in the audiovisual and artistic fields.

Thursday February 25
From 12:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Friday February 26
From 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

Pedagogical guide for participating centers

All registered centers will receive, weeks before the festival, a pedagogical guide with educational proposals to work on the selected short films and prepare the classroom experience.
