Iván Miñambres

Born in Portugalete, he worked in the advertising sector until founding UniKo in 2009, a production company specialising in animation and with which he produced his first short film “Birdboy”, directed by Alberto Vázquez. Since then he has produced 11 short films, 2 feature films and has worked for clients such as Adidas, BBVA, Skôda, Iberdrola, Carrefour and Leroy Merlin.

Three of his works have been selected for the prestigious “Shorts from Spain” catalogue. He has won important awards, including three Goya Awards for “Birdboy”, “Decorado” and “Psiconautas”, and the Grand Jury Prize at the Annecy International Animation Festival for “Homeless Home”.

His work has won more than 200 awards and 1,600 selections at festivals all over the world, including Berlin, Cannes, Toronto, Chicago, Annecy and Clermont-Ferrand.
